Zodiac’s pay-it-forward initiative is part of the company’s Providing Alternative Tomorrows with Hope (P.A.T.H.) program, which looks to promote acts of kindness within the company and the community. Selina Dudley, sales operations, and Tim Vallecorsa, trade marketing manager, Canada, demonstrate an act of kindness.

The Canadian and U.S. divisions of Zodiac Pool Systems launched their inaugural pay-it-forward campaign this summer in addition to sponsoring an employee Red Cross Blood Drive.

Spearheaded by the company’s volunteer Providing Alternative Tomorrows with Hope (P.A.T.H.) program, the pay-it-forward initiative was the company’s first ongoing campaign to promote acts of kindness within both the company and the community.

In early August, Zodiac employees were encouraged to perform a good deed for a fellow employee, and then use a custom token to encourage that colleague to pay it forward to another staff member. On August 17, the campaign expanded beyond the company and continued into the local community.

“Our team aims to do all we can to encourage selfless acts of kindness among our employees both internally and in the community,” said Jill Rooks, director of information technologies and customer operations and head of the P.A.T.H. program at Zodiac. “Our goal is to have this campaign expand nationwide through the efforts of Zodiac employees, their friends, and family.”

The company also held a Red Cross Blood drive this month where staff members were encouraged to donate. Over the seven years Zodiac has sponsored this event it has collected 178 pints of blood.
