Early-bird registration for the 2017 World Aquatic Health™ Conference (WAHC), hosted by the National Swimming Pool Foundation® (NSPF®), is now open.
This year’s conference is taking place Oct. 18 to 20 at the Omni Interlocken in Broomfield, Colo., and those who register prior to May 31 will save as much as $150 on the cost of registration. A special draw for the first 100 registrants will also take place this year with three prizes (an iPad, 50-in. flat screen TV, and a free pass to the 2018 WAHC) to be presented during the closing reception. Further, active NSPF instructors will automatically receive a 15 per cent discount on this year’s conference admission.
Attendees will benefit from more than 50 seminars being offered during this year’s conference. Tracks will focus on advanced chemistry, advanced service concepts, health benefits, facility management, Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC), new industry technology, public health, and training for business growth. More than 400 experts and specialists convene at conference to develop professionally, network with industry leaders, and help shape the future through aquatics. Attendees typically comprise pool operators, service technicians, aquatic managers, environmental health officials, academia, pool builders, health professionals, aquatic therapists, retailers, and manufacturers from many different countries.
This year’s opening keynote is Ryan Avery, a rousing motivational speaker, while Amy Posey will address attendees on the final morning of the conference. She has worked closely with last year’s keynote, Dr. Wallace J. Nichols. Both keynote speakers will have workshops during the WAHC as well.
The WAHC includes pre-and post-conference events for additional learning opportunities as well. This year, pre-conference events include the biennial CMAHC ‘Vote on the Code Conference,’ the second year of Aquatic Therapy Day, NSPF’s new Advanced Service Technician™ course, and an insider’s tour of local aquatic facilities.
Other aquatic organizations also have the ability to host a meeting near the dates of the WAHC and can contact the conference team to schedule a room and time.
Visit thewahc.org for complete conference details, including seminar schedule, presenter bios, special conference events, online registration information, and group rate reservations. The cost for those who register between June 1 and July 31 is $495, after August 1 the price increases to $595.
The NSPF is also calling for sponsors for this year’s WAHC. Varying levels of sponsorship offer different rewards, but every giving organization will receive at least one conference registration ($445 value), access to full attendee information, company logo on attendee materials and on the WAHC website until 2018, as well as recognition before the keynote addresses.
NSPF aims to offer unique opportunities to increase the benefits for the sponsors. These sponsorships help NSPF provide the best educational and engaging speakers, fun, food, and drinks throughout the event. Advocate and Engager level sponsors receive ideally located tabletops to maximize visibility to attendees.
