A new device from manufacturer Sinopé Technologies might make it easier for homeowners to remotely control their pool automation.

The Quebec-based company recently debuted its Smart Electrical Load Controller, a versatile tool able to connect to ordinary pool devices (e.g. pumps, heaters, and lights) to make them ‘smart.’ The technology can connect to an existing smart home system, which allows for voice command control, or via the company’s proprietary online platform. The latter option provides a range of functionalities unique to the device, including detailed consumption reports to help consumers reduce their energy bills.

“The device is an easy, versatile solution for consumers who want to remotely control a variety of appliances,” said Sinopé Technologies CEO François Houde. “The controller has many uses and doesn’t require the replacement of existing equipment or appliances.”
