Fluidra, a global pool and wellness sector company, has launched Fluidra Ventures, a more than $20M corporate venture capital (CVC) fund to drive innovation.
The CVC will invest globally, with a focus on the U.S. and Europe, seeking startups with transformative solutions.
The fund will also support startups advancing engineering and science in swimming pool manufacturing, efficiency, and maintenance. Fluidra Ventures has already invested in Coral Smart Pool, a technology company addressing pool safety using artificial intelligence (AI).
The initiative is structured around four segments—commercial, residential, wellness, and mass market—with eight strategic guidelines covering connected pools, resource optimization, digital platforms, innovative materials, security systems, personalized experiences, robotics, and innovative consumables.
Over the initial three-year phase, Fluidra aims to build a robust startup portfolio by investing in companies enhancing efficiency, connectivity, sustainability, and safety in the pool and wellness business. Key areas include internet of things (IoT), computer vision, and robotics.
Powered by Fluidra Lab, the company’s open innovation division, Fluidra Ventures invites startups to submit proposals and send their investment pitch decks to fluidralab@fluidra.com. Beyond funding, Fluidra aims to be a strategic collaborator for startups, offering resources, expertise, and sales options.
