Hayward donates safety products

Hayward Pool Products has pledged up to $1 million of the company’s safety vacuum release systems (SVRS) to commercial pool facilities throughout North America to assist those facing safety compliance challenges due to budgetary issues.

Hayward Pool Products is donating $1 million in safety vacuum release systems (SVRS) to commercial swimming pool facilities in need.

The safe enjoyment of pools and spas is paramount to Hayward’s mission, says Kevin Potucek, the company’s vice-president of product management.

“When it comes to pool safety, multiple layers of protection are crucial,” he explains. “We know that due to economic cutbacks this is a difficult time for many public swimming pool operations.”

Under the terms of Hayward’s ‘Safe Swimming Initiative,’ only those facilities demonstrating a valid need will be eligible. Products will be awarded with special consideration for public or non-profit facilities serving populations that are under-privileged or have special needs.

The program will run through July 1 or until $1 million worth of product has been donated. Hayward will refer facility operators to registered installers.
