NSPF offers online construction safety course

The National Swimming Pool Foundation’s (NSPF’s) online Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) course comprises 24 educational modules on topics such as heavy equipment and excavations.

A new Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) course specific to construction safety is now available through the National Swimming Pool Foundation® (NSPF®) online training centre.

The 30-hour interactive course is intended to provide instruction on a variety of general construction safety and health standards. The class opens with an introduction to OSHA, including handling inspections and how to locate specific regulations. Each course topic associated with the OSHA Construction Standards is addressed, including overviews and learning outcomes. The course allows participants to work at their own pace, includes 24 education modules and features narration, images, video and various exercises.

“Workplace safety and compliance should be the number one priority for any business owner, and is critical to protecting the health of any organization,” says Alex Antoniou, PhD, NSPF director of education. “This course is particularly valuable for owners, construction workers, supervisors and foremen who work with pool builders and remodellers.”

Participants can register at www.nspf.org or e-mail info@nspf.org for more information.
