Coast Spas a finalist in BC Export awards

Coast Spas, a hot tub manufacturer in Langley, BC, is a finalist in the ‘Consumer Products’ category of the 2011 BC Export Awards.

Coast Spas, a manufacturer of hot tubs and swim spas in Langley, BC, is a finalist in the 2011 BC Export Awards, which will be announced tomorrow during a gala luncheon at the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver.

Nominations were announced by the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) BC Division and the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation, with Coast Spas being selected one of three finalists in the ‘Consumer Products’ category. More than 500 were nominated for the competition.

In addition to Coast Spas’ national retail network, the company exports its product to various countries around the globe, including the U.S., France, U.K., Ireland, Russia, Australia, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Israel, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Ukraine, Slovakia, Republic of Kazakhstan, Poland, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, Egypt and Hungary.

Don Elkington, the company’s president and CEO, attributes their continued success and growth on the international level to their strict quality standards (ISO 9001:2008 Certification), numerous innovation patents and their family of skilled and devoted employees.

The BC Export Awards is one of the longest running ceremonies of its kind in Canada and celebrates BC companies that make a positive impact in expanding the role of the province in worldwide product and service exports.
