Bullfrog Spas, a hot tub manufacturer in Salt Lake City, Utah, recently donated a portable hot tub to a deserving Ontario mom who was surprised with a complete backyard makeover on CTV’s The Marilyn Denis Show as part of its ‘Best Mother’s Day Ever Week.’
Michelle Sullivan, a mother of two daughters from Wasaga Beach, was nominated to receive the free hot tub by her 14-year old daughter, Alexis. Michelle is recovering from recent surgery to remove a spinal tumour, and prior to receiving the hot tub, it was necessary for her to travel to receive proper therapy.
Not only was she surprised on air with a new Bullfrog ‘362’ hot tub, but she was also treated to an entirely remodelled backyard, which included a new deck and patio, greenery makeover, garden planters, new sod, and a new patio furniture set. The entire project was completed in 48 hours while Michelle attended a spa retreat.
The hot tub seats up to six adults and features three, customizable hydrotherapy ‘JetPaks,’ which allow Michelle to receive daily massage therapy to relieve pain and speed her recovery.
Others involved in the project included: 3 Oaks Landscaping (landscaping and materials); United Rentals Collingwood, Brayford Sod Farm and Maxwell’s Landscape & Masonry Supply (top soil); Deck Masters, Benchmark Building Services and Your Deck Company (deck and materials); Nu-Tek Electric (hot tub electrical); Unilock (pavers); The Backyard Urban Farm Co. (raised garden bed); and Walmart (furniture and plant material).
