WhiteWater acquires Hopkins Rides

Hopkins Rides’ has joined WhiteWater West and will continue to offer rides, such as the ‘Pirate Reef’ Shoot the Chute, installed this year at LegoLand® California Resort.

WhiteWater West, a manufacturer and installer of waterpark attractions in Richmond, B.C., has added to its portfolio of water-based amusement park rides with the recent acquisition of Hopkins Rides, a designer and manufacturer of water rides and transportation systems in Palm City, Fla.

Hopkins Rides will continue to operate under the same name and will continue to offer its current line of amusement park rides, including the Log Flume Ride, Super Flume, Shoot the Chute, and River Raft Ride.

“Having Hopkins Rides on board advances our mission to bring to market the most exciting and diverse aquatic amusement park attractions,” said Teri Ruffley, managing director of WhiteWater’s amusement ride section. “We are positioned for and looking forward to a strong year ahead in this segment of the industry.”

Hopkins Rides has manufactured popular water-based rides for the amusement park sector since 1979 and joins WhiteWater as its 19th global office.
