PHTCC Toronto chapter holds successful training events
One of the three training events hosted by the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada’s (PHTCC’s) Toronto chapter was held at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Mount Hope, Ont.

More than 100 swimming pool and hot tub professionals participated in the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada’s (PHTCC’s) Toronto chapter training days held in March and April.

Each one-day session included basic training on pool equipment operation, water chemistry, best management practices (BMPs) for wastewater discharge, and Health Canada’s Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) standards.

After successfully completing the training, each attendee received 400 educational credits towards the PHTCC’s continuing education program, which provides those who have earned the necessary credits to receive free supplementary legal insurance in 2013. Participants also received certificates in recognition of completing the water discharge BMP and WHIMIS programs.

The Toronto chapter thanks this year’s training instructors Darren Hill and Phil Bach (Pentair Aquatic Systems), Dave Warren (Total Tech Pool and Leisure), Erwin Just (CanNova Industries) and Dave Simek (Lawrason’s Inc.).
