WhiteWater West recently installed a number of its water ride attractions at international waterparks in China and Japan, creating new, innovative aquatic play areas for park guests.
The recently completed ‘New Century Global Centre’ building in Chengdu, China, which opened to the public last month, features a massive artificial beach and a waterpark that includes a variety of aquatic features designed by the Richmond, B.C.-based manufacturer.

Among the attractions WhiteWater designed for the facility, which is said to be the ‘world’s largest standalone structure,’ include: an interactive water play feature for all ages; massive funnel waterslide; family water raft ride; sheet-wave attraction for surfing (above); and a number of other waterslides were also installed.
The company also installed one of its newest waterslide attractions at the Nagashima Resort in Kuwana, Japan. This feature fuses together two WhiteWater waterslides (below) to offer guests a thrilling waterpark attraction. The waterslide begins with a rafting sensation, which leads into a velocity-building drop that launches guests up the slide’s wall where they get a bird’s eye view of what is coming next. As guests return down the slide, they are propelled across a flat section of the attraction into rushing waters and then plunge to the finish.
