The educational program at this year’s International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo (IPSPE), to be held Nov. 9-14 in Las Vegas, Nev., is designed for residential/commercial pool, spa and backyard professionals looking to grow their business.
This year’s IPSPE will offer 68 classes and more than 250 hours of course selections, including various seminar tracks and educational programs. For instance, topics to be covered in the ‘Builder’ track include best practices, fibrerglass pool installation, innovative repair techniques, fire features, and shotcrete construction, while the ‘Service’ track will offer seminars on advancing the skills required to be a successful service professional, along with energy-efficiency, best practices, and intermediate/advanced water chemistry courses.
A number of Genesis 3 schools in design, construction, and drawing will also be offered, along with a host of certificate courses held by the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) and the National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF).
All seminars and educational tracks will be led by experts in the field. Barry Justus, a Pool & Spa Marketing contributor and one of two Canadian builders to attain Society of Watershape Design (SWD) accreditation from Genesis 3 Design Group, will lead three seminars. They include: ‘Water Features: A Custom Builders Tips and Tricks’ (Design 262) in the ‘Builders’ track, as well as ‘Green Pool Design & Construction’ (Engineering 291) and ‘Project Profiles—An Interactive Discussion on Design and Construction’ (Construction 171) at the Genesis 3 Lifestyle booth.
