The Canadian Pool & Spa Expo is just three days away
The 2014 Canadian Pool & Spa Conference & Expo returns to the Toronto Congress Centre next week after a three-year stint in Niagara Falls, Ont.

Next week pool and spa professionals will have the opportunity to network with industry peers and colleagues at the 2014 Canadian Pool & Spa Conference & Expo, which takes place Dec. 1 to 4, at the Toronto Congress Centre.

According to the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada (PHTCC), organizers of the show, more than 800 people have already pre-registered for expo, which returns to Toronto after a three-year stint in Niagara Falls, Ont.

Those attending the 34th edition of the annual trade show will have the opportunity to attend a number of educational courses, including a two-day Certified Pool/Spa Operator® (CPO®) Certification program, which has become a staple of the conference, as well as short courses on hot tub service/maintenance, backyard safety, advanced water chemistry; pool operation; spa pack and pump troubleshooting; and basic operation and programming of automation systems. A number of technical and business seminars will also be available, including omni-channel retailing, waterslide operation, inspection, maintenance and repairs, troubleshooting metal stains, creating online marketing plans, vinyl liner manufacture and maintenance, project management, and the importance of water clarity.

The ‘Hot Topics, Hot Breakfast’ program returns for a third year and will offer sessions on the future of retailing, retail operations, technical issues and construction concerns for builders and service personnel, and job site safety. These roundtable discussions will take place on the final day of the show. Each session has an assigned moderator and is limited to 14 attendees.

A complimentary lunch for exhibitors and attendees will be served on the show floor, on both days of the expo, and several water cooler stations will also be provided throughout the exhibit hall. Attendees will also be able to view the latest residential and commercial products showcased by exhibitors at the show’s new products area.

Additional show highlights include the industry awards banquet on Dec. 3, which will recognize the national winners of the ‘2014 Design and Construction Awards.’ The evening will also include a musical performance by the André Roy jazz quartet.
