The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) has released a proposed draft revision to the standard for above-ground/onground pools, which is now available for public review and comment.

After recently announcing the approval of a revised pool construction standard, the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) has released a proposed draft revision of American Standards Institute (ANSI)/APSP-4 2007 Standard for Above-ground/Onground Residential Swimming Pools for public review and comment.

The revision describes certain criteria for the design, manufacturing, testing, care and use of above-ground/onground residential (Type-O) non-diving swimming pools and their components.

The APSP is seeking approval for the revisions under the accreditation procedures with ANSI. For more information, or to receive a draft of the proposed revision to the standard, contact Bernice Crenshaw (bcrenshaw@APSP.org[2]), APSP director, standards and technical information. Comments are due by Aug. 21, 2011. For more information, visit www.apsp.org[3].
