Thanks to a recently announced partnership, the Association of Professional Landscape Designers’ (APLD’s) International Landscape Design Conference will be held alongside the International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo (IPSPE) in Orlando, Fla., this November.
The APLD is an international organization to advance the profession of landscape design and to promote the recognition of landscape designers as qualified and dedicated professionals. The association’s show provides educational and networking opportunities. In 2013, the APLD conference partnered with Genesis 3, show endorser for the IPSPE, to present watershape design and construction education at its event. This unique partnership created a natural dynamic for the two associations to co-locate at this year’s upcoming expo.
“This strategic partnership brings a great opportunity to both groups of show attendees,” said IPSPE director Tracy Garcia, CEM. “APLD brings a valuable perspective to the industry and we are pleased to have their event co-locating with us.”
The APLD and their members will produce a 93 m2 (1000 sf) designer landscape pavilion for the show, while attendees of both events will be able to take part in a keynote presentation by APLD’s Ray Jungles, an American landscape architect whose private garden and resort hotel landscape designs have been honoured with more than 35 design awards.
Further, APLD conference attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy the IPSPE’s 13,935 m2 (150,000 sf) of backyard living exhibits on the show floor.
“APLD is pleased to partner with the IPSPE this year. We believe this relationship will bring a new and exciting dimension to our conference and we are anxious to invite our members to attend the expo,” said APLD’s executive director, Denise Calabrese.
The co-location expo will be held Nov. 5-7 at the Orange County Convention Center, with the educational portion of the conference starting on Nov 2. For more information on the show, visit http://www.poolspapatio.com/.
