WhiteWater West Industries’ international waterpark attraction success continued last fall with the installation of some of its newest water rides in the Middle East.

During the expansion of the Aquaventure waterpark at Atlantis The Palm resort in Dubai, UAE, the Richmond, B.C.-based designer and manufacturer of waterpark attractions installed the 40-m (131-ft) Tower of Poseidon—a six waterslide complex with various other features, including a number of firsts such as two AquaTubes,™ which send bathers through a 9-m (30-ft) diameter waterslide. The company’s Anaconda,™ attraction, which offers a waterslide within a waterslide experience, was also installed.

Another unique feature integrated into the waterslide tower is the zip line. This attraction allows riders to fly through on two-lane, two-way zip lines, spanning three towers. Finally, the company also installed its Family Boomerango™ and two, dueling AquaLoops,™ which provide additional challenges and thrills.

“We are proud to have been selected and challenged by Atlantis The Palm to deliver yet another record-breaker for their waterpark expansion and are thrilled with the result,” said WhiteWater’s COO, Michael Heaven. “The excellent feedback and excitement from guests is nearly as exhilarating as the experience itself.”

This expansion joins other WhiteWater attractions at Aquaventure waterpark, including four Master Blaster® water coasters, a custom-themed AquaPlay™ interactive play structure, and the highly-popular Leap of Faith waterslide where ride goers drop through a live shark marine exhibit.

This past summer, WhiteWater West was also successful in installing a number of its water ride attractions at international waterparks in China and Japan.
