Business expansion needs, lease considerations, and the consolidation of business units has prompted Filbur Manufacturing to relocate its head office and manufacturing facility to LaPalma (pictured) and Fontana, Calif.

Filbur Manufacturing, a manufacturer of pool and spa filter cartridges, has moved its office and warehouse facilities to LaPalma and Fontana, Calif., to increase company productivity as well as to support its future growth.

The company was located in Buena Park, Calif., for more than 10 years; however, business expansion needs, lease considerations, and the consolidation of business units prompted the move.

According to the company’s president, Bruce Stump, the relocation brings Filbur’s team under one roof, which will help to increase efficiencies and position the company for further expansion.

The move also allows the company to increase the size of its testing lab—from 27.8 m2 (300 sf) to 278 m2 (3000 sf)—and double the space of its offices to 1114 m2 (12,000 sf). Further, by incorporating more efficient racking and use of space, the company has been able to downsize its warehouse requirements, from 7896 m2 (85,000 sf) to 6503 m2 (70,000 sf).

“We’ve also incorporated a training room to better educate our customers and reps, giving them the tools they need to compete and effectively sell our product,” says Shelly Johnson, the company’s marketing manager. “We have brought different cross-functional teams that were in separate facilities under one roof. We’ve also improved our IT resources which will further create efficiencies in our operation.”
