Five days left to enter PHTCC design awards competition
Waterworks Pools & Spas in Moncton, N.B., received a bronze award in the outdoor fibreglass Pool with water feature category in the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada’s (PHTCC’s) 2013 Design & Construction Awards competition.

Pool and spa/hot tub builders and landscape members of the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada (PHTCC), including those in Quebec who are members of L’Association des commerçants de piscines du Québec (ACPQ), have until Sept. 30 to submit their entries for this year’s PHTCC awards program.

In addition to the standard rules found in the 2014 Design & Construction Awards’ terms of reference and entry form, this year an installation or project cannot be entered in more than one category in any given year. However, in addition to the gold, silver, and bronze awards that will be up for grabs in all 47 categories, this year an additional award(s) will be presented by the industry for every 15 entries submitted in each category.

All winners will be recognized at the Industry Awards evening on Dec. 3, during the Canadian Pool & Spa Conference & Expo, which returns to the Toronto Congress Centre. All Design & Construction Awards entries will be displayed on the show floor for the duration of the conference.

“Although our company may be relatively small on a national scale, we have fared well in the Design & Construction Awards competition over the years,” said Brad Cross, project manager for Waterworks Pools & Spas in Moncton, N.B. “The awards we have received go a long way to promoting our company within the region.”

Rounding out the awards program, which is sponsored by Pool & Spa Marketing and Pools, Spas & Patios, is the PHTCC’s ‘Industry Achievement Award.’ Nominations for this distinction are also due on Sept. 30.
