Gib-San Pools achieves third ISO registration certificate

Gib San Pools Achieves
Gib-San Pools’ commitment to ISO standards has led to a number of the company’s international projects, including the design, build, and management of pool installations in Abu Dhabi and St. Maartens (pictured).

Gib-San Pools Ltd., a Canadian custom pool builder, recently acquired its third International Organization of Standardization (ISO) certification with the completion of the Environmental ISO 14001 registration. This achievement puts the Toronto-based company among the few businesses, in any industry, to have all three levels of ISO certification. Gib-San Pools earned ISO 9001 Quality Management registration in 2004 and ISO Occupational Health and Safety 18001 registration in 2006.

“We like to refer to it as completing the circle of success, says the company’s president, Ed Gibbs. “There is no doubt our commitment to ISO has led to international business. International general contractors have a greater feeling of confidence when engaging in our services knowing we operate to ISO standards.”

The company, which is a member of the Master Pools Guild, has designed, built, and managed various estate and resort pool projects in distant locations such as the Caribbean and Abu Dhabi. Local clients and vendors also benefit because the same level of professional systems apply to all of the company’s work, added Gibbs.

To adhere to ISO standards, a company must establish and maintain procedures and processes in order to ensure consistent quality results, which they promise to deliver.
