Hot tub manufacturer hosts dealer incentive trip in Costa Rica

Watkins Manufacturing, a manufacturer of hot tubs in Vista Calif., recently welcomed almost 300 of its dealers to an all-expense-paid trip to Costa Rica for its Tropical Wonderland annual incentive trip.

Dealers who qualified for the incentive were rewarded for their 2014 efforts with a stay at the JW Marriott in Guanacaste and treated to a first-class holiday. During the trip, the company’s dealers and their guests had a unique opportunity to give back to the local Costa Rican community by participating in the ‘Watkins Bike Building Bonanza,’ where 83 children’s bicycles were assembled and donated to Escuela Santa Rosa, located in the nearby town of Tamarindo. Kids from the school also joined in the fun and helped decorate their new bikes.

Guests also participated in a variety of activities throughout the week, including zip lining through the rainforest, hiking in the Rincon de la Vieja National Park, deep sea fishing, and spotting indigenous animals while boating through the Palo Verde National Park.

“We are delighted to share this experience with our dealer family to thank them for their accomplishments in 2014,” says Watkin’s executive vice-president, Mike Dunn. “They did an outstanding job, and we are grateful for their efforts.”

The 2016 dealer incentive trip will see dealers travel to Marbella, Spain.
