Latham introduces new safety cover line

Latham Pool Products, a manufacturer of various swimming pool components in Latham, NY and Ajax, Ont., has recently introduced a new line of mesh and solid safety covers under its Coverstar brand.

The line includes the ‘Premium High-Shade Mesh’ cover, manufactured from 0.2-kg (7-oz) material; the ‘Standard Mesh’ cover, a lightweight (0.16-kg [5.2-oz]) material that is easy to install and remove; the ‘Heavy-Duty Solid’ cover, comprising 0.37-kg (12-oz) material, which also includes a draining system to eliminate pooling water; and the ‘Lite Solid’ cover, manufactured from 0.2-kg (7-oz) material, which also inhibits algae growth.

According to Coverstar president, Doug Larson, the company is drawing on Latham’s nationwide manufacturing and customer service resources, including multiple manufacturing locations across Canada and the U.S., to ensure dealers fast delivery of custom safety covers during the season.

Latham purchased Coverstar Inc., a Lindon, Utah-based manufacturer of automatic pool covers in 2006.
