Pool & Spa Marketing, and its sister consumer title, Pools, Spas & Patios has a newly redesigned website.
While the two magazines continue to share a landing page and a unified backend platform, visitors will notice a new look after they mouse over the homeowner side or the trade side and click on the site of their choosing.
A more modern page design helps visitors connect instantly to a wealth of information. The main navigation menu remains familiar; however, to enhance the user experience, some content on the homepage and pages within both sites have been repositioned based on user preferences and most-frequently read items.
Visitors who create a trade and/or consumer account can also personalize their experience by archiving articles via a favourite list. The site’s intuitive design also keeps a log of the last 30 viewed items. Further, once a user has read three features, the site will start to curate articles specific to their interests. These can be found under ‘My Suggestions’ in ‘My Account,’ along with the viewing history.
The trade side of the site focuses on the core job function of pool and spa professionals with must-read articles, breaking news, and technologies. It also gives them a portal to the consumer side of the site through the creation of a backyard Lookbook. The Lookbooks allow pool and landscape pros to showcase their work to a consumer audience in their service area.
The consumer side of the website is where the fun begins. Here, current and potential pool and hot tub owners can find advice on everything from operating and maintaining a pool to tips on planning and building their backyard retreat. This is where the backyard Lookbooks come to life not only providing inspiration and sage advice, but also assisting visitors in selecting a contractor.
And if that were not enough, a unique ‘Get a Quote’ function allows users to receive a builder or maintenance quote from companies within their geographic region.
