Annual contest for ‘best-of-the-best’ pool technicians returns

Pentair’s Pleatco and long-time co-sponsors GENESIS and the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA), have launched the search for the best-of-the-best pool and spa service technicians of 2023.

Since 2008, Pleatco and its co-sponsors have been highlighting this sector of industry professionals. The contest is an innovative way to honour the hardworking professionals of the pool and spa service industry.

Pleatco invites anyone working in the pool industry to nominate themselves or a colleague for the reward and recognition. Nominations open on October 2, 2023, and the deadline is October 27, 2023. Voting will begin on November 1, 2023, and close on November 8, 2023.

“We are incredibly excited to host the 15^th year of Pleatco’s ‘Pool Tech Search.’ Pool professionals are an extremely important part of the industry, and we can’t think of a better way to highlight their hard work,” says Ryan Weaver, general manager of cleaners and consumables at Pentair.

The awards ceremony will be held at the 2024 Pool and Spa Show in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Grand finalist prizes include round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations for the Atlantic City Pool and Spa Show, Pleatco product, and complimentary GENESIS course registration provided by PHTA.

“Service technicians are the professionals who keep pools and spas safe and healthy so everyone can enjoy aquatic experiences,” says PHTA president and CEO Sabeena Hickman, CAE. “GENESIS and the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance are proud to partner with Pleatco to present this award.
