One community outdoor pool in Burlington, Ont. will have a new look next summer after it undergoes a $6.5-million renovation.
In a report by Inhalton, the City says the Mountainside Pool is more than 60 years old and needs refurbishment since many of its features are outdated.
According to city officials, construction on the pool, located on Forest Dr., should be completed and ready for swimmers to enjoy by summer 2022.
The upgrades on the outdoor facility will include a complete replacement and redesign of the pool and deck.
As well, a rock-climbing wall, slide, spray features, and a shade area will be installed in addition to accessibility improvements.
