New aquatic centre for third largest YMCA in North America

The Cor Van Raay Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) has opened an aquatic facility at Atb Centre.

The Cor Van Raay Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) has opened at ATB Centre in Lethbridge, Alta., and features a large aquatic facility.

The recreational centre includes two waterslides, a surf simulator, climbing wall, lane pool, lazy river, tots spray area, whirlpool, and zero-depth entry gentle wave pool. The facility was designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects with public consultation for the choice of features.

“The design intent was to create a community destination, that is welcoming to all, with a wealth of amenity,” said Diamond Schmitt’s principal, Jarle Lovlin.
