Fibreglass pool manufacturer Thursday Pools unveiled a new sunken-living-area pool design to its dealers as it came off the production lines last month.
The innovative design is completely integrated into the fiberglass pool allowing it to be installed just as easy as any fibreglass pool. This SLA™ Sunken Living Area option is available in a round shape and can be ordered with in-pool options including a sitting/dining area or a swim-up bar. It can also be equipped with jets to create an in-pool spa.
“The event was like being at an auto-show presentation complete with lights, music, and a black-cloth unveiling which had been covering the product on the shop floor,” said Michael Berggren of Berggren Pools who flew in for the event from Wenatchee in Washington State.
Ed Vondell, Thursday Pool’s chief operating officer, said their customers were excited for the event and it was great to see their reactions during the unveiling.
“The idea for the pool design originally came to us from a photo we saw in the real estate section of the Wall Street Journal,” said Vondell. “We thought wouldn’t it be great to do that in a fiberglass pool? And we did it!”
Dealers can now order the SLA™ Sunken Living Area fibreglass pool. In fact, the pool that was unveiled at the shop was purchased by one of the attending builders, Wayne Berardinelli of Paradise Pools in Cleveland, Ohio, who was able to pre-sell the design to one of their customers.
