Canadian-based company WhiteWater, a designer and manufacturer of award-winning attractions, is opening a new European headquarters in Munich, Germany.

The new office will be focused on implementing a new strategy of locals for locals.

According to WhiteWater ERA GmbH’s president Rainer Maelzer, the company is using the term “locals for local” because its European team is centred in the middle of the region, and have their own legal entity to simplify tax and legal transactions for local companies.

“We also are producing locally for the region with our fibreglass partner nearby in Turkey,” he added.

Maelzer will lead the expanded team which will include business development managers, designers, slide path engineers, project managers, site supervisors, and after-sales specialists.

With employees speaking multiple languages and having decades of industry experience, WhiteWater is now centrally located in the region and focused on delivering water parks for European, Russian, and African clients.

“WhiteWater offers both the portfolio and know-how of a world market and the experience of a European player,” said Maelzer. “The opening of WhiteWater’s new office in Munich is a great demonstration to our dedication to the region; we wanted to have a local European full-service company to underpin our corporate strategy of supporting locals for local.”

The new office in Germany will be the sixth global location for WhiteWater.

With 2020 drawing to a close, the company is looking toward other opportunities in the region and will soon break ground on the first Endless Surf pool in Paris.
