WhiteWater, a global water park attractions company headquartered in Vancouver, made waves at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo 2023 in Orlando with a presentation on its new products and global projects. The company was also honoured with the Brass Ring Award for Best New Product.

The IAAPA Expo 2023 event kicked off with the introduction of the comprehensive Joy Economy book, a 300-page publication by WhiteWater’s software arm, Vantage. The book, a valuable resource for the attractions industry, includes exclusive interviews with industry leaders sharing insights on best practices for creating exceptional guest and employee experiences.

One of the highlights of the expo was the unveiling of Wall Runner, a groundbreaking water slide that provides an unparalleled zero-gravity feeling. This innovative ride propels rafts sideways through artfully crafted arcs while maintaining forward momentum.

WhiteWater also showcased several new products launched earlier in the year, including the popular Infinity Master Blaster water coaster, the pint-sized Mini Blaster, and the award-winning Elevated AquaForms 12—a raised version of their modular aquatic play system, which received the Brass Ring Award for Best New Product, Water Park Ride/Attraction under $2 million. This unique aquatic play structure, designed with more than 85 m (278 ft) of decks, bridges, and stairs, offers a range of experiences for guests of all ages. Elevated AquaForms 12 not only enhances play but also optimizes space, providing clear sightlines and freeing up floor space in water parks.

The expo shed light on the rising trend of vertical water parks, with WhiteWater leading the way in groundbreaking projects. The Icon Tower in Qatar, set to be the world’s tallest water slide tower at 85 m (278 ft), and The Rise of Icarus in the U.S., featuring the tallest water slide tower in North America, were among the record-breaking projects discussed.

The global project updates showcased WhiteWater’s dominance in the water park industry, with projects spanning Asia Pacific, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East. Notable projects include SnowStar in Shanghai, Mega Abyss in Japan, Oceana at Liseberg in Sweden, and the expansion of Thermas dos Laranjais in Brazil, among others.
