Northeastern buys Kel-Tech's pool motor division[1]
Northeastern Swimming Pool Distributors has acquired the pool and spa motor products division of Kel-Tech Electric Canada.

Northeastern Swimming Pool Distributors, a swimming pool equipment and accessories distributor in Ontario and Quebec, has acquired Kel-Tech Electric Canada’s leisure water division, which includes the company’s pool and spa motor products.

Swimming pools continues to be the distributor’s focus in many of the company’s decisions at it has grown over the past 10 years and it expects the transition of this recent acquisition to be seamless as Northeastern uses the same suppliers as Kel-Tech; therefore, the motors, seals, and pricing is expected to remain unchanged.

“Northeastern realizes the importance of the industry’s pool service professionals,” said the company’s president, Tom Dovgala. “The purchase of Kel-Tech Electric’s pool motor division will enhance the customer’s experience when buying from Northeastern. It is another step we have taken to provide our customers with a one-stop shop for their swimming pool needs.

“If we do our job well, it allows the industry’s service professionals to do their jobs more efficiently, providing the consumer with a good experience.”

Kel-Tech Electric Canada is still operating and will concentrate on its core business in the food sector.
