In an effort to increase education and training programs available to the Canadian swimming pool and spa industry, the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada’s (PHTCC’s) partnership with the National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF) now allows council members to access a broad range of online compliance courses.
“We are pleased to offer PHTCC members special rates on several new online courses from the NSPF,” said the council’s executive director, Rob Wood. “For the past three years, members have had preferred access to the Pool Operator Primer™ and Aquatic Play-Feature™ online training courses; however, a wide selection of safety-related short courses has now been added to the mix.”
Some of the new training courses, part of the NSPF’s eProAcademy™ program, include various safety-related subjects on workplace behaviour; chemicals; chlorine; compressed gas; electrical; fire; and flammable liquids. Other courses include training on appropriate use of personal protective equipment and the use and maintenance of respirators.
