NSPF releases 2011 operator handbook

The 2011 NSPF® Pool & Spa Operator™ Handbook is now available.

The 2011 edition of the National Swimming Pool Foundation® (NSPF®) Pool & Spa Operator Handbook is now available to pool and spa professionals to keep up to date on the latest regulatory guidelines and operational procedures for aquatic facilities.

Designed for operators, health officials, service technicians, retailers, property managers and manufacturers, the handbook’s colour-coded pages and keyword index makes it easy to find information on topics such as drowning prevention, recreational water illnesses, suction entrapment, evisceration, diving accidents, electrocutions, chemical hazards and slips and falls. Updated information on regulatory guidelines and vital operation topics—such as disinfection, water balance, water problems, troubleshooting, chemical testing, record keeping, chemical feed and control technologies—is also included.

The handbook is available for purchase in English and Spanish, includes both imperial and metric units, and contains current information on the Pool & Spa Safety (P&SS) Act, American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC).
