Niagara chapter tees off at Peninsula Lakes Golf Club

For the second straight year, participants of the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada’s (PHTCC’s) Niagara chapter golf tournament—held at Peninsula Lakes Golf Club in Fenwick, Ont.—were greeted with clear skies and warm sunny weather.

This year’s tournament, held in late August, saw 93 golfers register for the event, representing 15 retail/service companies and more than 20 manufacturers/distributors. Prior to the 1 p.m. shotgun start participants socialized during a light lunch, and after golf the evening closed with a pig-roast buffet dinner and awards presentation.

The winning foursome was Darren Hill (Pentair Aquatic Systems), Roland Goodfellow (Linerwerx), Shannon Park and Jordan Scott (CGT). The team was rewarded with a free round of golf at Peninsula Lakes. Other winners included Zach Davis of New Wave Pools (men’s longest drive), Nicole Robinson of Zodiac Pool Systems Canada (women’s longest drive), Jim Cherry of Northeastern Swimming Pool Distributors and Shannon Park (men’s and women’s closest-to-the-pin). Each winner received a $100 gift certificate to Canadian Tire.

All those who attended the event also received a gift bag with prizes donated by various companies.
