Pentair Aquatic Systems has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with its third-consecutive Energy Star Partner of the Year—Sustained Excellence Award (2016) for its manufacturing of energy-efficient pool pumps.
The company, which has been an Energy Star partner since 2013, introduced its variable-speed pumps to the industry in 2005 to help its customers enjoy their pools while saving energy. To earn the Energy Star designation, pool pumps must be at least 30 to 72 per cent more energy efficient than typical pumps.
The 2016 Partner of the Year—Sustained Excellence Awards are presented to a variety of organizations to recognize their contributions to reducing harmful carbon pollution through superior energy efficiency efforts. These awards recognize ongoing leadership across the Energy Star program, including energy-efficient products, services, new homes, and buildings in the commercial, industrial, and public sectors.
