The Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada’s (PHTCC’s) recent call for presentations signals the start of the development of the 2016 Canadian Pool & Spa Conference & Expo’s education program.

The Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada (PHTCC) has initiated its plans to expand the 2016 Canadian Pool & Spa Conference & Expo’s educational conference with its recent call for presentations.

This year’s show is scheduled to take place at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, Ont., from Dec. 5 to 8. According to the PHTCC, the show continues to draw more than 2000 attendees, including representatives of major manufacturers, retailers, dealers, and builders from across North America.

In co-ordination with the association’s industry trade certification program, the PHTCC looks to build off of last year’s conference, which included 12 courses covering a range of topics—from the National Swimming Pool Foundation’s (NSPF’s) two-day Certified Pool Operator® (CPO®) course to a variety of short courses discussing topics such as water discharge, pool installation, water chemistry, and hot tub/spa maintenance. Twelve additional seminars were also presented to support the technical advancement of the industry.

Those companies or individuals interested in educating the industry’s employees are asked to submit a brief description of their proposed presentation by filling out a form and submitting it via e-mail to Rob Wood, the PHTCC’s executive director (rwood@poolcouncil.ca[2]) by Feb. 29.

Once again, the PHTCC will give practical, hands-on workshops the highest consideration. Presentations on topics that are generic in nature, rather than proprietary to specific products and/or procedures are also preferred. All submissions will be evaluated by the PHTCC’s education committee based on perceived suitability and relevance to the program as well as the potential range of application.

To obtain a submission form, visit www.poolandspaexpo.ca[3], click on ‘Program’ and select ‘Submission for a Presentation.’
