The champion of the 2016 Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada (PHTCC) western Ontario chapter golf tournament was the foursome representing Zodiac Pool Systems Canada Inc. Left to right: Jayme Sweeney, Nicole Robinson, Bryan Paul, and Brian Barr with the event organizer, Heather Henderson.

The foursome from Zodiac Pool Systems Canada Inc., was the winner of the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada’s (PHTCC’s) 2016 western Ontario chapter golf tournament.

The Pine Knot Golf & Country Club in Dorchester, Ont. hosted the Aug. 17 event, which attracted 62 participants. As in years past, the event was planned and organized by Heather Henderson, who also served as the master of ceremonies (MC). Golfers enjoyed sunny skies and temperatures two degrees above average during the round of golf, which was followed by dinner and prize giveaway. Earl Siegrist, owner of Skyview Pool and Spa’s, spearheaded the fundraising activities for the chosen charity, while Marjorie Barton assisted with the putting contest.

This year, the money was donated to the George Bray Sports Association Inc. (GBSA)—a hockey program for children with special needs based in St. Thomas, Ont. The GBSA’s president and hockey operations, Murray Howard, spoke at the event.

This year’s tournament champions included: Jayme Sweeney, Nicole Robinson, Bryan Paul, and Brian Barr.

The second place team was made up of Tom Pfeiffer and Brad Geared (Meter Mix Concrete) along with Jason Stronach and Randy Nemez (Rheem Canada Ltd.). The third place team comprised three golfers from California Spa & Fitness (London): Chad Murphy, Derek Murray, and Nick Christov.
