In support of the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada’s (PHTCC’s) new educational program, which offers supplementary insurance coverage to qualified companies, Pool & Spa Marketing magazine is pleased to introduce a new feature designed to help pool and spa/hot tub professionals earn the required credits.
Beginning with the February 2013 edition, readers will have the option to complete a series of test questions related to a specific article in the magazine, and then submit those answers to the PHTCC office for consideration. A maximum of 25 credits can be earned. Answers can be e-mailed to office@poolcouncil.ca. As part of the submission, participants must include their PHTCC member number along with their name, address and contact info. Each submission must clearly indicate the issue volume (found on the cover or table of contents page), date and title of the article (i.e. vol. 37, number 1, February 2013, “Pool Care in the Wireless Age”). Submissions that do not include this information will not be eligible.
“This initiative will offer greater value to businesses, which invest in ongoing training for staff,” said PHTCC executive director Rob Wood. “By participating in the program, qualified builder, dealer, and service companies will have the opportunity to secure supplementary insurance coverage that is not typically included in standard general liability portfolios.”
To qualify for the PHTCC program, company staff will need to earn at least 200 educational credits per year. For more information on the program, contact the PHTCC office at office@poolcoouncil.ca.
