In terms of annual salaries for swimming pool and hot tub professionals, Pool & Spa Marketing’s fourth annual salary survey revealed there was a slight decrease in the number of those earning more than $60,000 per year.
However, those earning between $30,000 and $49,999 increased, and unlike last year, where a quarter of the responses came from those aged 50 to 54, those aged 40 to 49 provided more than a quarter of the responses. More women participated this year as well.
With respect to job description, hours worked, and annual salaries, the majority of respondents said they were owners, while many also selected ‘other.’ That said, job satisfaction was up slightly with many reporting a number of increases in company benefits (most notable were medical care, life, long/short-term insurance coverage, along with paid vacation, sick leave, and personal time).
The survey ran online from Nov. 19 to Dec. 21, 2012, and covered topics such as company size and revenues, and employee information such as experience, educational background, and salary details.
