Spa Parts Plus (SPP), an Arizona-based wholesale hot tub parts supplier, has added to its product offerings with the acquisition of California Specialty Distributors (CSD), a supplier of various spa-related accessories.
Company officials say the acquisition will allow SPP to carry one of the most varied hot tub parts and accessories inventory in the industry and boost its market share.
“This is a natural fit for us,” says Barry Knickerbocker, SPP’s owner and founder. “By offering both product lines through one system, from one source, customers will have access to a large variety of products.
“Additionally, CSD customers will see improved service levels through an increase in inventory and better operational information from SPP’s computerization.”
There are no immediate plans to change the CSD name and SPP says current customers will find the transition easy. Once integration is complete, customers will be able to call one number to place orders from both company catalogues.
