WAHC Offers Early
Early registration is now available for this year’s World Aquatic Health™ Conference in Indianapolis, Ind.

Early registration for the 2013 World Aquatic Health™ Conference (WAHC), sponsored by the National Swimming Pool Foundation® (NSPF®), is now open. The 2013 conference marks the 10th anniversary of the event, which will take place Oct. 16-18 at the Hyatt Regency in Indianapolis, Ind. Attendees who sign up before June 1 will save $70 on the cost of registration.

Researchers and industry leaders from around the world attend the conference to share information on preventing bad things from happening in recreational water, and to highlight the benefits of aquatic exercise and immersion. This global exchange allows attendees to learn about the latest trends, which, in turn, helps reduce risk and attract more people to water.

This year, the number of educational symposia has been increased to eight, offering more than 50 seminars on topical subject areas, including public health codes, recreational water illness prevention, disinfection byproducts, facility management, drowning prevention, health benefits, natural technology, and new industrial technology.

New to this year’s event will be a drowning prevention track, hosted by the National Drowning Prevention Alliance (NDPA), while for the fourth consecutive year, the Aquatic Physical Therapy section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) will hold its summit in conjunction with the WAHC.

“Aligning with key organizations helps us present the latest in scientific research, trends, and innovation and bring a wider audience to this global exchange of knowledge,” said NSPF CEO, Thomas M. Lachocki, PhD.
