WhiteWater earns three IAAPA awards

WhiteWater Earns Three
WhiteWater’s (L-R) Scott Heke, Jim Glover, Geoff Chutter, Mike Heaven, and Rick Briggs celebrate the company’s three Brass Ring Awards it received during the 2012 International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) expo.

After winning a trio of awards at the World Waterpark Association (WWA) show, WhiteWater West Industries, a water ride engineering and manufacturing firm in Richmond, B.C., took home three more awards at the recent International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) expo held in Orlando, Fla.

The company received Brass Ring Awards in the ‘Best New Products’ (AquaCourse™) and ‘Best New Technology’ (SilkGel™) categories, while its Hopkins Rides division received a Brass Ring Award in the ‘Best Exhibit’ category for its unique booth design and professional appearance. The AquaCourse amusement ride challenges users to traverse through an aquatic course of ropes, towers, bridges, water cannons, and other interactive water features, while the company’s SilkGel technology was recognized for its ability to protect WhiteWater’s flumes from fading and chalking.

Brass Ring Awards recognize excellence in the attractions industry and are presented annually during the IAAPA expo.
