As the dog days of summer hit, the City of Winnipeg has begun to reopening a number of wading and indoor pools.

As of last week, the city reopened wading pools at the Central Corydon Community Centre, Ducharme Park, Turtle Island Neighbourhood Centre, Elmwood Winter Club, Bruce Park, and King Edward & Ness Playground.

Social distancing is required and individuals must maintain a distance of at least 2m (6.6 ft) from every other individual while queuing to enter the pool, on the pool deck, and in the water; however, this does not apply to people who can demonstrate they are living together in the same household.

Indoor pools at Margaret Grant Pool, Seven Oaks Pool, St. James Assiniboia Centennial Pool, and Sergeant Tommy Prince Place opened on August 10.
